Contacting Technology Support

  • Self-Help: Search our technology guides to find walkthroughs and tutorials for the most common technology issues. These self-help guides include Canvas/I-Learn, downloading Microsoft Office, Wireless Printing, Zoom Issues and so much more!

  • IT Chat: Chat with a AI system which can pull technical help information from the school's knowledge base. If you need to chat with a technical agent, follow the prompts and it will get you to the right person.

  • Submit a Request: Still have questions? Our technical support team can help! To submit a request, visit the main IT Services Portal.

  • Visit in Person: Come see us in person for technology support! We have agents available at the IT Help Desk in MC 114 between 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday. (Closed 12:00 pm-1:00 pm for lunch and 11:30-12:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays) 

Proctorio Support

  • Downloading Proctorio: To download the Proctorio extension, see Student Help: Proctorio in Canvas.

  • Troubleshooting: Make sure you are using Google Chrome as your web browser. Here are steps to download Google Chrome. You can also try clearing your cache and cookies.

  • Issues During a Test: Click on the shield icon on the top right corner of your browser. You can chat with Proctorio to receive help with your issue.

  • How can I have the access code for my proctored exams?


Can students rent computers? 

  • Students are not able to rent computers.

  • Visit the Tech Guides. You can also submit a help request on the IT Services Portal or contact our tech support team by selecting the blue chat bubble at and choosing "Web Chat" and then "Technical Support".

Is it possible to still use the Adobe Photo Shop using my BYU account for some personal learning, if I don't register for any class this semester?

  • Currently, only students enrolled in the following classes will gain access to a BYU-Idaho Adobe Enterprise LIcense. Students will receive an email notifying them of this access to their BYU-I email account. Students will retain access until the end of the semester. For more information on which classes gain access and how to download the Adobe apps, see Adobe Access.

    If you are a Pathway Worldwide student logging into your BYU-Pathway Worldwide portal, check with your instructor for assistance. If you still have additional questions after talking with your instructor, please reach out to the IT Help Desk (click this link to be directed to the IT Help Desk) for assistance.

How can I sign up or log in into Zoom with my BYUI account?

  •  Please follow the steps below to log into zoom with your BYUI account.

  • First download zoom or go to and click sign in
  • Below the options of email address and password, you will see an icon with a key that says SSO
  • Click on that icon and then log in with your BYUI email and password
  • Contact us or Information Technology if you have any further question.
