Contacting Technology Support

  • Self-Help: See the technology guides for walkthroughs and tutorials on the most common tech issues including Canvas/I-Learn, downloading Microsoft Office, Wireless Printing, Zoom Issues and more!

  • IT Chat: Chat with our IT chatbot for basic tech help with an option to chat with a technical agent from the IT Service Desk

  • Submit a Request: make a request for tech help through the main IT Services Portal.

  • Visit in Person: Come see us at the IT Help Desk in MC114 between 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday. (Closed 12-1 pm for lunch and 11:30-12:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays) 

Proctorio Support

  • Downloading Proctorio: To download the Proctorio extension, see Proctorio FAQs

  • Troubleshooting: Make sure you are using Google Chrome as your web browser. Here are steps to download Google Chrome. You can also try clearing your cache and cookies.

  • Issues During a Test: Click on the shield icon on the top right corner of your browser. You can chat with Proctorio to receive help with your issue.

Is it possible to still use the Adobe Photo Shop using my BYU account for some personal learning, if I don't register for any class this semester?

  • Currently, only students enrolled in specific classes have access to a BYU-Idaho Adobe Enterprise License. Students get an email notifying them of this access to their BYU-I email account. Students will retain access until the end of the semester. For info on which classes have access and how to download the Adobe apps, see Adobe Access.

    For BYU-Pathway Online students who log in thru the BYU-Pathway Worldwide portal, check with your instructor for assistance. For additional questions after talking with your instructor, contact the IT Help Desk.

How do I recover a Zoom recording?

How can I sign up or log into Zoom with my BYUI account?

  •  Please follow the steps below to log into zoom with your BYUI account.

    • First download zoom or go to zoom.com and click sign in
    • Below the options of email address and password, you will see an icon with a key that says SSO
    • Click on that icon and then log in with your BYUI email and password
    • Contact us or reach out to IT if you have any further question.

When does the IT Help Desk close?

  • The Help Desk closes at 5pm
