Manually & Automatically Archiving Files in Outlook

You can archives files manually and automatically in Outlook. Sometimes you will need to archive old files in Outlook in order to make room for new files while keeping the old ones accessible.  

Manually Archiving Files

There are two ways to do this. 

Method 1:

Click and drag the folder or email(s) you wish to archive to the Archive folder on your left inbox bar.

Method 2:

1. Select the email(s) or folder you want to archive

2. Click the Archive button

Can I Automatically Archive Files

In New Outlook, AutoArchive is no longer supported. If you have files you need to archive, you will need to do that manually
