How long does it take to get notified on a decision made for Admission?
- If you submitted your application long before the semester you applied for, it can take weeks or possibly months to hear back.
- If you submitted your application soon before the semester you applied for, you could have a decision within 1-2 weeks.
How does this affect my application to other CES Schools?
- You will receive separate decisions from each school you applied to. Accepting an offer to one school will not affect your application to another school.
- See the College Application FAQs website for more information.
What if I am planning on serving a mission?
- If you are accepted into BYU-Idaho and are planning to serve a mission, you should accept the offer now rather than when you return. Otherwise, you will need to re-apply when you return.
- Once you have accepted your offer and have your mission call, you can fill out your missionary deferment.
Can I change my start date for attending BYU-I?
- Yes, domestic students will need to counsel with the Admissions Office at (208) 496-1300.
- International students will need to counsel with the International Office at (208) 496-1320. Then if the change is approved, the International Office will inform the Admissions Office for you.
What if I accepted my offer but won't be attending (would like to withdraw from university)?
- Contact the Admissions office at (208) 496-1300 to withdraw your acceptance.
How do you withdraw an application (domestic and international)?
What is the last day I can accept my offer?
- We encourage you to accept your admission offer before the first day of the semester.
- The last day to accept an offer is the registration deadline (seee academic deadlines). This is usually a week into the semester. However, we don't recommend waiting that long since there will be limited options for classes at that point 😊
Can I download my Admittance letter?
- Yes, your track assignment comes as a PDF. The admittance letter can be found on the webpage/status page. You can take a screen shot of it there.
- If you are needed proof of your student status, see Enrollment Verification.
