How do I submit transfer credits from another college?

Can I fulfill the required religion credits with courses I took through the Institute?

  • Thank you so much for reaching out! Yes, depending on availability, you may choose to take your Foundation classes at the Institute and have the credits transferred at the end of the semester.

To get institute credits transferred to BYU-Idaho, the courses must be taken for “Church University Credit”. BYU-Idaho cannot accept a “report card” in place of an actual Transcript. BYU-Idaho cannot guarantee that institute credits will transfer over directly. For more details on how qualifying institute credit should transfer over to BYU-Idaho, see the course transfer tool and look up “Institute of Religion” under the state of “Idaho”.

How can I find my grades for every class I've taken?

  • Good question! There are two ways you can find your grades for past classes:

    Unofficial Transcript:

  • Login to your BYUI account and click the student tab
  • On the left side, you will see the Unofficial Transcript
  • Click on this and then click on the blue button Unofficial Transcript
  • This should download a document with all your grades and GPA history
  • I-Learn

  • Login to your BYUI account and click the I-learn tab
  • Click on the left side Courses
  • Then, on the bottom, select All courses
  • This will open all courses you have ever been enrolled in, click on one of them and select Grades
  • This is useful for viewing your grades for a specific class with more detail

I think I'm overqualified for taking Math 108. Is there a way I don't have to take it?

  •  If you think you do meet the minimum prerequisites for the MATH 108 class, you may take the ALEKS exam to test out of it if you get a certain score. For more information, please see the Placement System webpage.

I want to know what my GPA was while I was enrolled in BYU-Pathway.

  • Thank you for your question! Please contact Pathway Support for assistance with finding your GPA.

I am wondering how to get my PathwayConnect credits transferred to BYUI.

  •  Pathway sends students’ transcripts automatically once the student is admitted to BYU-Idaho and/or when grades are officially posted after the student finishes their third semester.

If you choose to request a Pathway transcript through the BYU-Pathway Worldwide website, please use the following steps:

  1. Log in to the student portal at byu pathway
  2. Open the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Select "Transcripts" from the menu
  4. Select "Pathway Transcript Tool"
  5. Select "Request Official Transcript"
  6. Select which school(s) you would like to send your transcripts

If you have any issues, please refer to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Contact Us page.

What is a W Grade?

  • "W" grade is recorded on your academic transcript when you withdraw from a course after the 22nd day into the semester (or after the 15th day in a block) up until the withdrawal deadline (roughly two-thirds of the way into the semester), for any reason.  To see the exact dates of these deadlines in the current semester visit Academic Deadlines. Happy to help!

What happens if you retake a course but end up with a worse grade than the first time you took the course? What grade is kept, the lowest or highest?

  • After retaking a course, the most current retake grade will take the place of the other grade when it comes to calculating your GPA (even if it's worse). So, if you get a C the first time you take a class and retake it and get a D, the D will replace the C.
