What are the minimum acceptance requirements for me to be accepted into BYU-Idaho?
Do I have to submit an ACT/SAT score to apply?
- ACT/SAT is not required for admission. Students have the option to opt out of that requirement on the application. Admissions will evaluate them without it. However, ACT/SAT are used for placement into freshman Math and English; there are, however, other ways to place found on Academic Success and Tutoring.

- The ACT and SAT are weighted equally when making admission decisions.

- No, the written portion is not required or reviewed for admission.

What is an ACT Super Score? Does BYU-I consider this type of score?
- We currently DO NOT accept super scores (for any type of test, including English Proficiency exams).
Would a P-SAT or P-ACT satisfy the ACT/SAT requirement?
- No, we do not accept the P-SAT or P-ACT.
Will ACT/SAT requirements be waived for future semesters?
- Although ACT/SAT scores are not currently required for admission, we encourage students to take the ACT/SAT if possible.
- We are still using ACT/SAT scores for placement.
