Who's responsible for performing the inspection?
FSY staff are responsible for performing the inspection for each apartment they have stewardship over.
Inspection Procedure
FSY staff members perform the inspection by way of the following procedure:
- Staff members ensure that all participants in the apartment have checked out by 8am at the end of each session.
- Staff members scan the QR code on the "FSY Apartment Standards" poster located on the refrigerator in each apartment to pull up the inspection form.
- Staff members walk through and inspect each apartment according to the inspection form, making sure to clear trash, left behind belongings, and food from all indicated areas on the form and to note any damages to walls, furniture, or appliances.
- Staff members remove all trash, left behind belongings, and food from the apartment, and dispose of those items appropriately.
- Staff members then do a final walkthrough of the apartment, submit the inspections form, turn off the lights, and leave the apartment ensuring that the door closes.
What happens after the submission of the form?
When the form is submitted, it will be sent to the Property Services Team who will be notified that the apartment is empty and ready for cleaning. Property Services will then go in and clean each apartment that is ready and move it forward within the workflow assigned to the tickets. A notification will be sent to the Campus Housing Manager once the cleaning is complete. A google spreadsheet titled "FSY Apartment Turns" will be used to keep track of which apartments are completely ready for the next FSY session.
