Transcripts for New Freshmen/Transfer Students
- Mailed/emailed directly from the institution you attended.
- Electronically through Parchment Exchange, National Student Clearinghouse, or SCRIP-Safe.
General Policy:
- Takes about 3-5 weeks.
- Decide if you would like to send your transcripts through mail or email.

Admitted Student
- If student is admitted, send transcripts or new ACT/SAT scores to transcriptsubmit@byui.edu.
High School
- You can self-report high school grades, allowing you to submit your application before your transcripts are received.
- US citizens: You do not need to submit transcripts until after you're admitted.
Weighted GPA
- If selected on the application, you must input ALL of your grades for all of your classes and WILL still need to send transcripts once admitted.
Unweighted GPA
- If selected on application, you just self-report your high school unweighted GPA in the application and send your updated transcript to BYU-Provo (If it is time-sensitive then to Admissions) after you have been admitted/accepted to BYU-Idaho.
- Transcripts are used by Financial Aid for grant/financial aid evaluation.

What if my transcript is missing or delayed?
- Contact Admissions at (208) 496-1300 or email admissions@byui.edu if your transcripts are missing.
- For third-party transcript requests (e.g., military, government agencies), email transcripts@byui.edu or call (208) 496-1046.
How long does it take to receive a track assignment after applying?
- For international students, track assignments are typically processed before visa deadlines.
- For US citizens, the process can take anywhere from a few days to several months, depending on your major and the timing of your application.
Pathway Transcripts
Domestic Pathway Students
- DO NOT submit high school transcripts to on-campus applications after finishing Pathway.
International Pathway Students
- If graduated, secondary education documents are not needed. Pathway Connect grades are enough.
What if I have not completed Pathway?
- If you did not complete Pathway Connect with at least a 3.0 GPA, a high school, college, or GED transcript will be needed for academic evaluation.
I’m applying to be a Pathway Connect student, or I’m a current Pathway student applying to be a Pathway Worldwide student, where do I send my transcripts?
- You need to send your transcripts to Provo:
- BYU Admissions
- Brigham Young University
- A-41 ASB, Provo, UT 84602
How is my transcript submission handled if I am a Pathway Online student transferring to on-campus?
- If you are transferring from Pathway Online and have earned credits through Ensign College, you must send your transcript to transcriptsubmit@byui.edu. If you have earned credits at BYU-Idaho, Admissions already has your transcript on file.
Does the application require me to submit my high school transcript if I am transferring to on-campus from Pathway Online?
- No, you do not need to include your high school transcripts if you’re transferring from Pathway Online to the campus.
