Recovering BYU-Idaho Username and Password

In order to access a number of campus systems, such as campus Wi-Fi, campus computers, or the Pharos print system, you will need your BYUI username and password, which differs from your church username and password. If you don't know your BYUI username or password, follow the steps below to recover that information:

1. Go to https://web.byui.edu/account/ and click "Change Password".

2. Create a New Password with the following requirements. Then click "Save Password".

  • It must contain at least 12 characters
  • It must contain 3 of the following:
    • Lower case letter
    • Upper case letter
    • Number
    • Symbols or special characters (Avoid: ? ! / \ < > ~)
  • It cannot contain any portion longer than two characters of the your first name, last name, or username
  • It cannot be a password you've used in the past

3. After you have changed your password, you will be taken to a page that says "Password successfully changed."
