Self Help Specialist

Job Summary:
 
The Self-Help Specialist helps to improve, maintain, and promote the BYU-Idaho OneStop student services portal for the Support Center and the BYUI community. This position communicates daily with the BSC and other campus offices to ensure that the portal information (including real-time question responses) is accurate and timely.  
 
Specific Duties :
 
  • Responding to questions, knowledge base requests, and service requests on the Digital OneStop Portal  
  • Communicating progress of the OneStop, marketing OneStop, and increasing OneStop exposure to students. 
  • Tracking and reporting OneStop data 
  • Monitoring student interactions in our FB groups 
  • Continuously revising and updating our articles on platforms such as Screen Steps & Knowledge base. 
Applicant Requirements: 
 
  • Energetic determination to make BYU-Idaho better and help fellow students  
  • Ability to organize self-made tasks and goals to accomplish overarching departmental goals. Must be task driven.   
  • Comfort level with existing technology and the desire to learn additional technologies 
  • Constant coordination of technology resources, graphic design resources, and services resources to improve self-help web portal  
  • Friendly and professional with impeccable written and oral communication skills 
  • Work 15-20 hours a week (M-F) with hours each week day (May be required to work some evenings) 
  • Must be available to work for at least Spring and Fall  2022 semesters (Summer optional)

Wage: $10.77 per hour
