Student Teaching Grants

STUDENT TEACHING GRANT

This grant is offered in conjunction with the Student Teaching office. All advertising and information is distributed through the student teaching office.

This grant is intended to assist students with their expenses during their student teaching semester while helping to minimize loan borrowing. This grant is not meant to cover all expenses.  Students’ need will be evaluated based on household income and the rent amount which the student will self-report.

Students must be registered for their Program Applicable student teaching class, complete the FAFSA, and complete the BYU-Idaho Student Teaching Grant Application by the appropriate deadline:

  • August 1st for Fall semester student teaching

  • December 1st for Winter semester student teaching

When combined with other BYUI grants, awards cannot exceed Full LDS Tuition

When completing the application, the student includes details about the student teaching assignment including the location and rent amounts plus any household income

Grants are awarded on a first-come first-served basis until money is depleted or all applicants have been awarded.

Students must be enrolled as a Campus student.

U.S. Citizens must have completed the FAFSA.

To ensure consistency, a rubric will be used to determine award amounts.
