When using the interactive map, be sure to select what you are looking for, in this case printers, at the top of the screen. You can also change the floor of the building you are looking at.
Printing Across Campus
- Employees and students use their I-Card to print. For employees, after swiping their I-Card, the screen will give an option to use their personal account or their office account. New copy cards will be provided for ecclesiastical campus users. For more details, refer to Wireless Printing with Pharos Print for assistance.
Where can I access printers on the BYU-Idaho printing system?
- Go to the BYU-Idaho website and use the Campus Map to find where printers are located. Go to: https://maps.byui.edu/interactive-map/ and in the upper-left corner and click on the lined icon next to the search box to select items to show on the map. Choose "B&W Printer", or "Color Printer" or "Copy, Scan, Email" (depending on what you need). The map will then show where on campus you can print, copy, or scan.
Without accessing the computers on the BYU-Idaho campus, how can I print?
Compatible file types: Word (doc, docx), Excel (xls,xlsx), PowerPoint (ppt, pptx), PDF, Images (JPG, JPEG, BMP, PNG), Text (CSV, RTF, TXT) Maximum file size: 52 MB
- Once the file has been uploaded, you can specify: Color or Black and White (default is Black & White) Double-Sided or Single Sided (default is Double-Sided) Pages per side 1 or 2 (default is 1) Number of Copies (default is 1)
NOTE: Documents remain in the system for 24 hours, unless you delete or print the document at which time the document is removed.

At the Print Release Station:
- Sign in to the Print Release Station software using your BYU-Idaho Username and Password You will be asked to swipe your I-Card. You will be presented with a list of your print jobs that can be printed.
- Select the print job you wish to print
- Your available funds and the cost of the print job will be displayed at the bottom of the screen
- Click Print or Delete (depending on what you wish to do) When done, click the Logoff button, or simply press the Esc key to end your session.
How do I pay for the printing system?
- Only your BYU-Idaho I-Card can be used with the BYU-Idaho printing system. Credit cards or other means of payment are not accepted.

What if I am experiencing technological printing issues?
- If you are having difficulty trying to print, getting an error when they try to print, or nothing prints, please contact (208) 496-1411.
What if I have a larger print job or do not want to use the self serve printer?
- The Print and Copy Services in MC 174 is a great resource for printing packets for classes, as well as printing flyers, posters, banners, and much more. You can visit the Print Services website for more information on how to order a print job.
How much does it cost to print color and black and white from printers on campus?
- It usually costs $0.05 for black and white, and for color it is $0.25 and for double sided pages it would be doubled the cost depending on whether its black on white or colored.
