Summer Session at BYU-Idaho is a shortened semester that lasts for seven weeks from late July to September.
Who can Register?
- Summer session is available to all students at BYU-Idaho.
Can International Students register?
- Yes, they can. However this does not count towards the required 2 semesters in a year, since it is only 7 weeks long.
When does registration begin?

How many credits can I register for?
- Students can register for up to 10 credits, on campus or online and will be charged per credit, no exceptions.
Can I attend a Summer Session even though I was admitted for Fall/Winter?
- Yes, you will be able to attend Summer Session before starting your assigned track IF you contact the Admissions office and ask for permission to take summer courses (this is only an option for domestic students).
