A new and exciting feature is now live in Zoom for all BYU-Idaho employees and students. Meeting Summary with AI Companion is a tool that creates automated summaries of your Zoom meeting that can be shared with attendees and those who didn't attend a Zoom meeting to help improve team collaboration and speed up productivity.
This new feature should be automatically enabled for all Zoom users at BYU-Idaho. However, there are some specific settings that might need your attention. The default setting for these summaries is to send that summary to only the meeting room host. If you wish to share the summary of your meeting automatically with others who attended, that will need to be changed in your Zoom settings using the online client.

Log in to https://byui.zoom.us/
- Go to the settings tab on the left-hand side
- Go to AI Companion
- Choose the settings you want to distribute the Meeting Summary
