  • Click the "Make a Payment or Deposit" button

3. Navigate to 'My Account'

  • You’ll be redirected to your payment account portal

  • On the left-hand side, click the "My Account" button

4. Send a Payer Invitation

  • On the account information page, click the "Send a Payer Invitation" button

  • Enter the payer’s first name, last name, and email address

  • You can also choose to allow the payer access to your billing statements and tax forms

Payer accounts will only have access to the student payment portal, billing statements, and tax documents. They will not have access to other student records.

5. Payer Receives Email Invitation

  • The invited payer will receive an email with:

    • A username

    • A temporary password

    • A link to the sign-in page

  • Upon first login, the payer will be prompted to create a new password

Common Issues with Parent (Payer) accounts

If someone forgets their account info, they can reset their password through BYUI Pay. If this doesn't work, the student must create a new account. To remove the account, parents can also contact their bank to stop processing charges from BYUI. The student also can delete the account from their end. If there are issues with that process, Accounting Services can delete the payer account after speaking with the student.
