Working After Graduation

Part-time employees who are graduating can finish out working for the semester break days following the graduating semester. They cannot work any additional days once the new semester starts following their graduation.

Exceptions:

  • Exceptions are rare and must be approved by the Support Center Management team and HR on a case by case basis. For questions about exceptions, please check with your FT supervisor.
    • If the employee is a senior or team lead with specialized knowledge that make it unusually difficult to replace him/her, an exception can be requested through HR to have the employee work an additional semester (14 weeks) as a Temp Employee.
    • Example situations: Employee is running a BSC Team for a FT on leave or is a key player for a major project (website redesign, etc.) or has specialized advanced technical qualifications.
